It was time to take a break from city life and see a bit of the country.
We rented a car and made the 3 hour drive to Châtillon-sur-Seine in Burgundy, where this cozy and inviting home awaited us. The Airbnb house we stayed at was built in the 18th century. Every little detail, from the chandeliers in every room to the paneled walls to the view of the town through the back window, filled my photographer heart with inspiration and giddiness.
On this particular rainy day we drove toward Aisey-sur-Seine, another small town bordering forests, streams, old churches, and country horses.
Up next: Paris, part deux.
